As a creative writer, I know the hard and weary work of writing. Even when I don’t know what to say, I have to keep showing up to the page with two goals in mind: share a good story and make it matter to the reader. I have learned that this bittersweet feat feels lighter when I have a guide.
As a former English college lecturer, learning and mentoring is at the core of what I do. I provide students personalized support through texting, WhatsApp, Google Docs, or email. This support helps them reach me while their working on ideas or drafts. When they’re ready to share a draft with me, I provide written feedback through Google Docs or Microsoft Word on their content and sentences.
I love being a “guide on the side” because helping others tell their story is as important as telling mine.
